FUCKANORY
I've got a 5-pan set of Prestige steel pans which will outlive me by decades, and they only cost, iirc, ?175.
They're uncoated and all metal, so you can flash fry a steak on a high stove then whack the whole pan in the oven to cook through.
?500 on three pans, you'd want your bumps read.
