I'm not homophobic and couldn't care less whether footballers are gay or straight. I also don;t think a campaign like this will make any difference or indeed is particularly needed.

Obviously there are gay footballers. Not convinced they will all suddenly come out because Joey Barton wears a pair off rainbow laces nor will it stop people from shouting homophobic abuse. in fact with Barton its more likely to lead to abuse being shouted!
