Ejecting people from going about their every day business because of their membership of a political group/organisation.

He was a customer. He was treated badly. They gave them a free meal as a gesture of goodwill. I'm sure that's what Selfridges do to customers regularly and they should not treat customers differently because of their political views (unless said customer is shouting those views, handing out leaflets, wearing an offensive tee shirt etc).

The irony of your comments is something to behold.
