Wroth Estate of Choice

whilst the Wroth estate-owners are comparing values below, what is the Wroth Estate (Car) of Choice?

Requirements spec:

1) Space for 2 twins + associated paraphenlia
2) Space for 2 working cocker spaniels
3) Space for wife
4) Be easy to reverse park ('cos I can't)
5) Be cheap to buy ('cos I'm broke - see requirements #1 and #3)
6) Be reasonably economical (50mile commute per day, mainly motorway, probably 15k+ per annum)

For context my current motor is a 2nd hand battered Ford Focus hatchback which leaks. I'm not a car snob or piston-head, I just need to get from A to B in a reaonably reliable and comfortable car.
