Have you set the tank up and left it a few days - a week to let the bacteria settle?
If the water isn't right, it'll kill the fish quick smart.
Lose the ammonia, nitrites and ensure the PH is right (testing every day)before thinking about fish.
Never buy anything (including ornaments or plants) at Pets at Home, or you'll be infested with snails. If you do et them, invest in an assassin snail or two.
If you have live plants in the tank, ensure your fish are nibblers, cos they'll eat the plants. The best way to counter this is to get special veggie fish food which means they're not hungry for the plants.
Finally, ensure the mix of fish you get are compatible with each other - you don't want them eating each other.
Recommend the places on the Beccles Road, and Taverham Garden Centre - they'll give you good advice.
