It's hard to answer really.

Lambert had a cushion of 3 extraordinary seasons, to the point that relegation might have been disappointing but it would've been forgiven very quickly.

Hughton had none of that, and regardless of how he's achieved it deserves a huge bucket of credit for keeping us up.

Very, very hard to be the man who follows such a big reputation, but well done Hoots. Very, very excited for next year.
