Elliott Bennett had an impact when he came on against West Ham at Upton Park

but more often than not he was left to come on in the 88th minute during games. You can't really say that the players can't make an impact as subs when they're not given the chance, especially when we were so successful using effective subs last season. What has changed since then? The management, that's all.

Newcastle fans also said that Hughton was like that with his subs when he managed them, which was one of the warnings we were given before he took over as our manager. They had a lot of good players, so I think it's more to do with his management style.
