But I was just saying I seemed to have so much more hatered towards Hamilton back then than I do now to Worthington, largely because we've had some good times under Worthington - as you say probably down to the money he had and Hamilton didn't.
But I think the players hated Hamilton. I remember him and Bellamy fell out with each other in the first game of that season when we had just lost 1-0 to Barnsley and Bellers was sold that week. I'm not saying the two things were linked, but there was just a general dislike between manager and players. And the fact they all liked Worthington seemed to help him get the job permenantely when we did okay under his caretakership.
And yes - Holt was Hamilton's buy, as he had him lined up to visit just before he was sacked. But I think Zema Abbey was also another he was on verge of getting before he got the boot....
