But I think that's because things had been pretty much awful under him his entire reign, apart from beating Ipswich 2-0 in his first game in charge. Followed up with a defeat against Swindon which pretty much summed his spell up. Oh and how could I forget his super 6 signings. Des Hamilton and Gerry Brady, two of the worst players surely ever to be associated with Newcastle, De Waard who was shocking, Derveld who wasn't much better, Giallanza who actually looked okay in the two games he played for us, and the only decent one of the lot Paul McVeigh.

But under Hamilton we played crap football, we looked crap, and were going down in my opinion.
