Ooops - In an utterly non-political/histor ical way...

I find the very concept of the Falkland Islands hard to get my heard round.

So utterly, entirely British with all our cultural references and yet thousands of miles away.

Shouldn't it be more like Australia in terms of its slight otherness? And yet the island and everyone on it are like some kind of south Atlantic .

Do they feel British? How many come here? I find it curious.
