Here's a thought.

Worthy knew at the start of the season that Safri would miss a number of games due to international commitments. And it seems that even without injuries, we were planning to rest him during ramadan. Plus Worthy must know he's susceptible to muscle injuries etc.

Therefore for the substantial number of games he knew Safri would miss, Worthy genuinely planned for us to mount a promotion challenge with a central midfield of.....
