99.9% of live albums are w**k...
...however as Trickster says VU live are better than some - especially the 9 hour version of What Goes On...
Live Jimi Hendrix and his 900 year long version of Stone Free is trouser rippingly good - especially when he comes out of the clean guitar breakdown and wangs it right up with the main riff and off they all go again...
Some bands are better live than on record - Alabama Shakes are currently just such a band...
