Thoughts from Reading

Terrible game. Boring 0-0 draw.
Dulll as dishwater.

People say we are good defensively, this is true to a degree but Reading were awful and there for the taking but we created very little. Also - Bassong made a few blunders.

My player ratings.

Ruddy: Had little to do. Made a good stop.
Bassong: Ok but made a few blunders
Turner: Solid
Garrido: Our best winger when he came forward and was given the ball - which wasnt as much as it should have been - our central midfield kept misssing him
Whits: Done well. Good work Hoots - nice buy.

Wes: Lively but never got the ball much.
Bradley: Solid but not creative.
Pilks: Useless. Played to central. Hardly in the game. Looked sullen.
Snod: What a lump. Dont see why we bought him. Total luxury buy. Benno a much better option.
He should have scored but muffed a simpel chance.

Tetty: Cant see why the raves about Tettey. First touch is awful. Plays like an under-11 Sunday league player.

Holt: Our best player by a county mile. Missed a sitter mind. But he made 2-3 vital defensive clearences.

Hughton: Cannot change a game. Like for like subs with 5 mins to go is going to do nothing.
I suspect he is pleased with the away point ,a clean sheet and keep the pts ticking over - as I am I tbh but we should have beaten Reading.

We have stabalised and Hughton has done well given that he took over from a very sucessfull manager with 3 great years behind him. No complaints as such but we just dont create enough
and lack a cutting edge.
