My last HTC (Desire HD) was the worst battery life I've ever seen.

By geeks who do such benchmark things, the Galaxy S3 and HTC are currently best in the smartphone market, with iPhone 4S lagging behind a bit. Too early to say what the 5 will do, but the lack of bragging about it being better than rival handsets today would suggest it won't be market leading in the battery dept.
