the law got it right. Its just that everyone disagreed that the decision to fire was a simple one in the circumstances.

I was as chuffed as eveyone else when it was over-turned.... but the good thing is that the law prevented further ND's (neglagent discharges) and unnecessary shots being fired as everyone was then s**t-scared of casually rattling some rounds off at any passer by.
