we had a works rounders tourney once, dept vs dept

I was the bowler for our team cos I refuse to run around chasing things (because secretly I didn't want anyone to see how inaccurately I throw).

So I'd hurl the thing at mach billion to the batstop or whatever the wicket keeper's called, unless I fancied the girl i was bowling at, in which case I gave her a gentle lob (fnaar) which sadly they often missed anyway.

I can't remember who won but I do recall failing to cop off.
