I don't want to speak for Tricky.

My pov is that someone (the latest of many) has died and we're arguing about whose fault it was. If it was the cyclist's fault, is death a reasonable outcome? Of course not. So the regrettable conclusion for me is that we need to find and introduce safer ways of including bikes in the city infrastructure. If politicians won't do that, it'll cause people to blame them. After all, it's their job to do this.
