As soon as I saw them turn over France I knew they would top their group.

Argentina were always going to top group B which meant Uruguay would have to play S.Korea/Greece/Nigeria in the second round. Germany were always likely to top group D that meant the quater final was either USA/England/Slovenia/Algeria/Ghana/Australia/serbia. Hardly top class opposition.

Yes, I was confident that Uruguay could get through all of that. Paraguay was the only genuine shock for me.
