Worthington has had one great season...

Finishing 6th was not a fantastic achievement, finishing 8th was not a fantastic achievement, and avoiding relegation was not a fantastic achievement.

They were all better achievements than we made under Megson, Walker and Rioch but the difference between finishing 6th and finishing in the bottom half of the table is marginal.

Two seasons ago Worthington lucked out by signing Huckerby and Crouch and turned an average Championship squad into a title winning squad. For that he deserved all the credit he got.

He then failed to move us forward last season and has failed to move us forward this season as well.

Worthington should be judged on the squad he has built. We all knew from the start of the season that we were weak in midfield so the only person to blame for our injury crisis is Worthington.
