It does but it's true. Always has been, always will be.

It's one of the reasons that 3-0 hurt so much last time around in the Prem - we were the boys playing men at a club who weren't all that in the third tier or so of Prem clubs yet somehow were good enough to stop us stringing two passes together all afternoon.

On one level they're mediocrity personified. And yet bigger than we've ever been. And that hurts every time I think about it.
