You make some very good points

There was a time Wes could have easily given up after relegation to league one, fans turning on him after Colchester and then being kept out of the team for the start of Lamberts' tenure. Despite the aforementioned he knuckled down and fought his way back into the side to become a focal point for the team, playing a massive part in our rise up the leagues.

Wes has been very loyal to Norwich and deserves credit for that. Maybe he should be given an improved contract to prove a point? The club chould reward players who perform and are loyal.
