It's worth noting that the head of the Blue Knight's bid, Paul Murray,

was a director while all this was happening. It's likely he even benefited from an EBT himself as all the other directors did (including Campbell Ogilvie to the tune of 100,000: he's now chairman of the SFA!)

And RFCs administration of the scheme *was* illegal, but it's a civil case so no-one will be prosecuted. Moreover, it seems they didn't declare these payments (as one must) to the SFA/SPL. Which presumably means all those players were effectively ineligible.
