i think its basically frothed up milk with a shot of espresso slung in. espresso is neat coffee that comes in little cups.

in eastern yurp a macchiato is actually a capperchino. a capperchino is a milky coffee with a huge tit of squirty cream on top drizzled with chocolate sauce and about 3000 calories if you don't add sugar.
