Players are feted, players are criticised. All of them play well in some games and poorly in others. If they've played poorly it is commented on. Same as if they play well.

it is unreasonable to couch every single comment in the context of how far we've come and what else is a messageboard gonna do in the wake of a performance like the one at Sunderland? Collectively clear its throat in a nervous fashion and pretend it never happened?

Lambert might not have liked the response. Doesn't mean we weren't s**t though.
