Apparently he wanted to be responsible for every aspect of what was going on...
He'd be sorting out the bibs, balls and cones at training as well as having the obvious responsibility for picking the team and tactics.
He probably suffered because of the procrastination that came along with that... Let your assistant(s) deal with the smaller things, a la Lambert.
