My old wired router died t'other day so I went and bought a new one
It's very slow. Downloads at half the speed of the other one. It's a Belkin, and it wants to be wireless but I have no need for it to be, so I have it wired.
I've GIYLFed but all the advice I've read has been of the "reconfigure your E17BF to a whopthang malfoogit and then upstream your execbat with a microtuned melon" variety, so of no effing help to me.
The only bit of advice I've understood was "that happens sometimes - give it a couple of days", which is what I'm doing. Two days have passed and I'm still bringing in files at max 80kbps.
Shall I chuck it in the bin and buy another new one?

- Put an ant next to your RS232 input socket. Then put a little dress on and swish around. (n/m) (General Chat) - tudders, Dec 7, 19:57:21
- The dress and the swish, no probs. The RS232 thing is much closer to my kind of problem (n/m) (General Chat) - Sugbad The Bad, Dec 7, 20:02:52
- have you done a smell up the usb? (General Chat) - Karnivore, Dec 7, 19:52:49
- I would, but the old one is dead (General Chat) - Sugbad The Bad, Dec 7, 20:01:30
- Nope, that made it worse. I'm worried about the stream for Saturday. (n/m) (General Chat) - Sugbad The Bad, Dec 7, 20:14:21
