MUCH better than the film
Cuckko's Nest, I mean. The film didn't (couldn't in the time allowed) do justice to the Bringing Out of the Chief, which for me was the nub of the thing.
I lent the fillum to my daughter recently an she loved it - and I was delighted that she'd spotted it for its subtext (if that's the right word). That'd be partly down to my training of her, I'd like to think - she made the mistake when about fourteen of saying that Brassed Off was "about a brass band".
She avoided me for about a week after that.
