I've met quite a few Hondurans - all exiles because of the crime there

it seems like the US deported loads of criminals at the same time, so they had a massive influx in teh 80s of hardened US criminals, but with central american lack of respect for life - hence really violent and out of control crime. Such a shame because they seem like a generally really nice country of people
