the parents could have got home, noticed that their 9 year old son had disappeared along with all their valuables and thought "do you know what, i bet he's fallen foul of the old "uncle's tale" scam, won't he be in for a bitter sweet surprise when he gets home and no mistake ha ha ha ha".
