I heard a sad and very nasty story today
my mate's nephew (about 9yrs old) was at home alone and he received a phone call from his uncle telling him that his mum had been hit by a car and was in intensive care at the hospital.
Obviously the kid was very upset and his uncle said that they urgently needed to cover the medical costs to save her so the lad should collect any cellphones, money, jewelry, laptops, electronics etc and take it to X place, and hand it over to his "uncle", which he did since he was obviously s**tting himself.
He got back home and his mum and dad were there waiting for him, both alive and well of course.
First time I've ever heard of this c**t's trick, but apparently this very common scam is called the Uncle's Tale.
