Exactly..

Football is cyclical and there will be, I have no doubt, a time when Ipswich are neighing at us from the rooftops again whilst we scratch around in the Championship.

The whole recent history of the two clubs mirrors that of so many of the same size over the last two-three decades, in effect, we're all yo-yo clubs.

Hence needing to enjoy this because it won't last forever. Who would, could, have guessed that a 3rd place Prem finish and top ten places or so for much of the first half of the following season would end in relegation and long term obscurity the season afterwards?

Ipswich, Palace, Leicester, Luton Town even-all have dined at footballs top table and had relative success in recent years, one of them is now non-league! So we haven't done so badly, overall. But if we do have another period of struggle it will sting all the more because of what we have done under Lambert!

The more light you give off, the darker the eventual shadow will be.
