Isn't this true every year though?

newly promoted sides would be pessimistic about their chances against the biggest teams - usually more or less the ones you list above. But hope to get something from the games against everyone else.

I reckon at this stage of the season, we'd have hoped to pick up smoe points from just about anyone outside Chelsea, Arsenal, Manyoo and Liverpool.

Indeed you could say it's worse this season, 'cos there are clearly 6 teams who are a cut above everyone else, rather than just 4 like it was for ages.
