but most modern cars now have engine/test diagnostics only authourised dealers have the access codes to, to stop small independant/cheaper garages being able to service the car. Its not just Mazda I'm sure!
re the bearing problem. Nearly 99% Asian/Japanese cars use a majar japanese bearing manufacturer. 99% of European and Amrican cars use my companies bearings....... ergo, very few problems! Its another reason why I'm not allowed a Japanese/Asian company car, only european!
