I recall the case of a British arms dealer which I read about in Private eye years ago

he was found dead in a hotel in Chile strangely enough, and IIRC, despite being found hanged in a hotel wardrobe with his hands bound, was adjudged to have died due to "excessive masturbation", according to either the UK embassy or the Chilean authorities (can't remember which).
The point being that "they" aren't only brazen enough to
kill you, but will take the piss afterwards as well
