but even today there are those that go about denying the holocaust ever happened - how much easier would it be for them to win converts without these physical reminders of just how s**tty human beings can actually be?

i think i can see what you mean though, and no doubt there are a small tiny minority of people that go there through some horrible ghoulish fascination, and some may even 'glory' in what was 'achieved' there - but overall, on balance it's my belief that it's better to keep it
