Unlike the stewardess, I don't speak fluent jive, but
just wondering whether your router is 802.11b or 802.11g protocol, which can be more susceptible to interference, especially in a house with a lot of metal / wires.
I had that with mine. On the top floor (of three) I was getting only 7mbits down when I was meant to get 15 and it frequently cut out meaning I'd have to restart the router. I swapped my router for a cheap (about 30 quid) 802.11n one with two internal antennae (you can get more if you pay more), and instantly it was more stable and I was get even more down bandwidth than advertised (up to 18mbits at times) all over the house and even on the roof terrace.
That might be an idea but first check your puter wifi card supports 802.11n
Or he could also indeed be referring to the channel Jackson mentions, but I've not really had any issues with that before.
