Well I am in two minds with this. On the one hand great talent, but on the other..

I think Ruddy did enough to warrant starting the season at number 1, so why would a club in our financial situation (yeah far better than last year but not as flush as a lot of Prem teams) go and pay 1.5m for a backup keeper ?

Secondly he was fantastic in League 1, but he's ONLY played in League 1 and in Scotland. Unless he had the odd game for Newcastle in the chumps. But certainly not as a regular.

I think he's a great keeper, but I wonder whether we can be sure that he is so much better than Ruddy that he warrants 1.5m ?

And would he come if he wasn't sure of a starting place ?
