sadly the bikes are almost out of the question. There are serious restrictions on 2nd hand bikes to force locals to buy new ones - Suggs told me, and a guy I met who used to import used Japanese bikes confirmed it.
Youc an get around it with classic bikes, but it's a bureaucratic nightmatre.
