Exceptions and Where We Go From Here...

First things first - I admit I got this season badly wrong on the most part. I excepted better than 19th that's for sure and if we had Ashton earlier we would haveprobably sneaked in - along with Safri for Holt and Helveg for Eddy, however the manager has got to learn but not dwell on such mistakes.

Having personally learnt my lessons from not being too optimistic. I will say that next season will be more difficult than many of our fans are excepting. Cracks of the togetherness are appearing with articles such as Waghorn's and what's happened with McKenzie isn't going to help really. I can't stop thinking about how any team can lose 6-0 in a must win game after just 1 defeat in 6/7 whatever it was. If i'm honest the more I think about it the more I'd like to have a word with Worthington.

The away form is going to be massive next season. I'm confident we will be ok at home but we've got to go away to places like Leeds, Reading, Hull and Brighton and get wins - it's easy to forgot how many good away performances we had to put in to win the league last season, if we had won 1 away game this season we would have stayed up and that is pyhscologically damaging unless we get an away win from the off. Promotions are won on the road I reckon with a solid defence (we need 2 new players here I think now) hard working but creative midfield (see ya Francis and Holt) and quality attack (Huckerby and Ashton say no more).

We also have to be wary of the favourites tag, teams are going to raise there games against us, the atmosphere at some grounds like - Cardiff, QPR and Plymouth is probably gonna be more be more difficult to deal with than any Prem games.

As for Worthington he deserves next season but whatever happens it's gonna take alot for him to be sacked if we didn't go up which comes back to the excpectations point. What are we expecting from Worthington and the boys next season because I think the title is going to be huge task and ask.

We'll have to see what happens in the transfer market but I wouldn't expect too much personally. Defence needs improving. Fleming and Holt shouldn't start in the our best XI next season that's for sure. I'd be more for Doherty and Shacks - at least The Doc might get away with it in the Championship.

I think we have to be patient as fans, I'd stick with Worthington for sure, I still think we are heading in the right direction, our club is healthy but now it has a few cracks which weren't there this time last year, they need covering with long term solutions. The fans are the most vocal and biggest i'd ever thought they'd be for City. I'm proud to be a Norwich fan, I'll be doing less games than I have done for years next season due to financial and social constraints but I believe we'll be top 6 when I do see us as long as we keep Deano who is immense.
