You'll be asked to provide a reason why the auction has ended
Most obvious drop down menu pick is "this item isn't available anymore"
Your man bidding, will just wonder where the auction is, because it won't exist in his my ebay anymore. He'll probably search completed listings and see your auction was ended early (and then see "this item was ended early because it's not available anymore)
Comeback from ebay?
Not really, but if you persist with communication on ebay's messaging services, then you will start getting warnings about ending items early
So, end the item if you like, but converse privately and you'll get no scare emails (even if you did, they won't do anything)
