i know theres lots of reasons people dont like academies

i have lots of doubts myself

but none of their opponents ever used your weird argument that they were anything to do with hiding poor schools' results, as far as ive ever heard.

can you come up with any evidence for it? like a teachers union saying it? or a politician who opposed them (of which there were lots)? or in fact anyone who opposed them?

have genuinely never heard it, and cant think of any reason why it would be remotely true, given the labour government trumpeted academies results, rather than hiding them.
