There's some truth to the racist comment...

...but only some as the BNP finished in 4th, I think...I dare say there's some serious xenophobia going on in UKIP but I suspect that's a protest vote...

I say some truth but since the turnout was so low it is difficult to gauge how good a night it was for the racists...

What is clear, i think, is that the Lib Dems were given a bloody nose by those that voted and those that stayed away - from 2nd to 6th and losing your deposit is woeful whichever way you look at it...

As for Clegg he didn't have to lead his party into this but he did...history, in my very humble opinion, will show what a retrograde step it was for the Lib Dem party and last night was an indication of just that...
