I did it.......thats why the 2007/8 season is relevent

They had the closest number of points to the current season at the 30 game stage..........

I posted all this stuff last week sometime........

Looking at previous seasons, current form at the 30 game mark pretty much carried on (on average) obviously some teams do better and some do worse but there is a strong overall correlation....... especially to number of points needed for 2nd place and points needed for 6th place.........

You can also do a binomial distribution to show probabilities of outcome of each point.

Obviously its a normal (bell curve) distribution with highly unlikley results at either end........
