spunking s**tloads of cash on a fruitless bid to win the World Cup, which we won't get back now.

Everyone knows FIFA are corrupt, it was public knowledge. That's why no-one is surprised that Russia won it.

If we really were serious about wanting the World Cup then we should have used that cash for bribes. Otherwise we shouldn't have bothered bidding for it. It's a no-brainer.
