I've had that happen too many times. With PPV it's sometimes best to wait for the result and fight reports, and then buy one of the replays if it's worth it
Though I did shell out on Haye-Valuev, because I was so intrigued by the size mismatch. Then it turned out Mrs Git had invited people over for bridge, so I didn't get to watch it live anyway
