I like to play Devils advocate but I still think it should be pointed out that........

as much as we all love Lambert and the fantastic job he has done so far, he is still somewhat unproven in the transfer market if he were given much more money.

Most of Lamberts success has been at the lower levels getting the best out of his players rather tha having any kind of serious budget.

Even here, he basically took the same squad Gunn left him and turned them into a well organized side.
