When commentating about finances, Lambert is quoted as saying........

"?I heard, whether it?s true or not, Middlesbrough have spent over ?11m in a year. We?ve spent 11 pence."

Now I know he is joking somewhat but I would be a bit narked if I was McNally/Board

Everyone an his dog is quoting we spent 1.2 million for Surman, 600k for Jackson, 250K for Crofts, 3-600K for Ruddy, undisclosed fee for Fox (at least 100K I am guessing)
Plus he brought in Ward and Steven Smith probably on decent wages.
Was allowed to bring in Barnett on loan who is on prem type wages.

hardly 11 pence.............
