My thinking on this has always been...

better to have curtains closed during the day rather than open at night when I'm away. Nothing to do with the fact that car isn't parked out front and the grass hasn't been cut for a fortnight and there's a pile of mail on the front doormat.

I realise that my home is at risk 24/7, but it's become a sort of OCD thing with me when I go away. Bedroom curtains closed.
