Boring Cricket Stuff

Well f**k right f**king off if you subscribe to the concept that Cricket is boring. If you lack the attention span to appreciate the complexity and nuances of this the finest of all team sports, then more fool you.

I love team sports, principally football of course and rugby and cricket. Individual sports like athletics, tennis, snooker, darts etc leave me cold even when they involve national representaion. The self determination and dedication of people like Lance Armstrong/Paula Radcliffe is to be commended but is purely self centred and pales into insignificance when compared alongside the ethos of teamwork and the brilliance that individual virtuoso members bring to that team regardless of the fact that it is for country, town or club. So what if some cnut can run really quick for 100 metres or can serve really quickly at Wimbledon? What gets my backside off the seat is to see outstanding teamwork, drilled by hours of practice together and highlighted by instances of personal brilliance. Sport is an art that inspires, encourages and enthuses. Team sports are the ultimate example. The rest is, well, all gravy. Cricket boring? Hmm....
