I'm not that technical but as I believe it LED is just like LCD but newer technology

where a LED light makes the picture brighter, they tend to be a bit more pricey, there is a difference when you see it in store. I looked at all 3 and went for a Panasonic plasma, I find LCD a bit too much like a PC monitor rather than a TV. LED was good too.
